- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I suppose if you need to lose a lot of weight that will come off quicky maybe this is a good program. I needed to lose 10-12 pds. I found that the protein supplement food I bought from her was really high in sodium. Dr.E said it was ok for me to use 3-4 supplements a day and I actually gained 2 pds the first week. The water weight from the sodium did come off in a couple of days with lots of exercise. Dr. E said it was ok to drink alcohol (2 servings) a few times a week. Everyone knows you can;t have alcohol and lose weight. Talk about pure sugar and an aperitif that stimulates appetite. She should have a stricker program that really gets the recommended 2pds off a week with the right mix of protein, carb, heatthy fats/oils, no sugar, no alcohol, lots of water and exercise. Dr. E could have tailored her program to my needs a bit. Ok you want to lose 2 pds a week you are over 50, low estrogen, you want to see me weekly for a weigh in. Great, exercise 4-5 times a week and allow for a small snack to compensate on the days you exercise. Her program did not seem to be adjusted to my age and small amount of weight loss desired. Her program based on grams was also very confusing. Wouldn't it be nice if one could actually drink alcohol and lose those last 10 pds,,,but that is one of the reasons that it is there to begin with. She is a very nice woman and knows a good deal about nutrition. I did ask if her programs was disigned to be a akaline based program vs acidic. She said yes and that is not true. The classic American diet puts the body in an acid/disease base vs. akaline base with promotes cell growth and prevents cancer. Why doesn't somone come up with the structured, weigh in, perfect balance for YOU diet, that is based on an akaline not acid state for the body.
